Thank you!!!!
Aside from the people that I have thanked previously I would also like to say thanks to a number of other people too.
Thanks to Big Gav for his nutritional advice and for nagging me on facebook when I accidently admit to eating a chocolate bar instead of “brown rice”. It really has made a big difference.
Thanks also to Filipe and Rob at the Athletes service in Henley for having to endure my talkative, crazy insanity. Again you have made a huge difference to my cycling and I do promise to learn to change a puncture soon!
Thank you also to Aynsley Fry from Gecko Fitness for his banter, mick taking and general rudeness about my lack of strength and conditioning time and the use of biceps curls in my training programme. On a serious note he is man of many talents who has a wide range of skills and knowledge and I really do value your opinion.
Thank you to the Bradfield Sports Complex Team for tolerating my Monday night swim sessions when I always make them late as I desperately try and fit in 3000 plus metres into an hour.
Thank you to my work colleagues and my patients for putting up with me going on and on about my work, family and triathlon.
A huge thank you goes to my family and friends for all their support both emotionally and physically. A special thanks goes to the Goodwins, the Van Es’s, the Etheringtons and our nanny Nicki for the many hours spent babysitting whilst Dave and I juggle work and my training. Without these guys my naturally shy – yes I said shy and lacking in confidence self, would have limited my goals some what but their support has stopped this from happening. I can always rely on these guys to pull me back to form and for that I am so grateful.
Lastly a massive thank you has to go to my amazing husband Dave who puts up with a lot! The arguments we have had about how to change gears on a bike, the times he has rescued me when I have had punctures or been flagging on a long run and he has driven out with drinks and food for me or just generally putting up with being shouted at because I am tired and hungry after a long day at work followed by training. I also have to thank my four gorgeous children – Thomas, Edward, Hattie and Oscar for also putting up with my general grumpiness, my early morning training sessions and for standing watching me race in the pouring rain when all they really want to do is go on that bouncy castle!
